From 18-26 October ROOTS Exhibition presents a brand new installation ‘Plantbased’ at Piet Hein Eek during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, curated by Simone van Es.
ROOTS Exhibition believes that design starts (and ends) in the soil. ROOTS returns to DDW with ‘Plantbased’ as an award-winning platform redefining design’s relationship with nature. They ask: how can design grow from nature in a time when CO₂, biodiversity loss and ecological breakdown dominate the global agenda?
‘Plantbased’ explores the connections between what we grow, what we eat and what we create. Rethinking food, materials and design-mindset beyond extraction, toward renewal. In a living landscape filled with plantbased materials, objects and ideas, visitors are invited to slow down. Listen to what nature is telling us and reflect on the impact of our choices on the environment.
