Studio Simone van Es

We are a Rotterdam-based full-concept design studio specializing in sustainable interior design for both private and commercial clients. We create interiors with character and meaning — from purchase guidance and renovation to custom furniture, lighting plans, and material advice.

Our designs are rooted in nature, with a strong focus on biobased materials, craftsmanship, and the creation of healthy living and working environments. By working with natural, non-toxic, and renewable materials, our interiors contribute to a healthier world — whether it’s an office, hotel, or private home.

We draw much of our inspiration from international design fairs — and now, we also take the stage ourselves. Through ROOTS, our creative platform for regenerative design, we translate innovative material developments and circular principles into timeless interiors. With ROOTS Exhibition, we present our work on a world stage, actively contributing and setting the new standard in sustainable design.

This results in interiors that are not only aesthetic and functional but also forward-thinking, conscious, and personal — with a distinct ROOTS signature by Simone van Es.
